The UK Innovator Founder Program allows individuals to acquire a three-year residence permit, with the opportunity to apply for permanent residency after five years of residence, provided all criteria are met. Entrepreneurs benefit from access to the UK’s international business environment, a favorable tax regime, and some of the world’s top educational institutions.
The program is highly selective, as applicants must meet strict criteria and receive endorsement from a recognized body. The application process involves submitting the business proposal, supporting documents, and the endorsement letter to the diplomatic post in the applicant’s country of residence. The endorsement letter confirms that the business meets the innovation, viability, and scalability requirements. Approval may take between one and eight weeks depending on the embassy's processing time.
The processing time for the UK Innovator Founder Program is typically quick, with residence permits issued within three weeks after approval. Applicants can bring their family members, including a spouse or partner and children under 18, to the UK. Business owners may also take up secondary employment, provided it is under skilled labor categories.
Upon expiry of the initial three-year period, the main applicant can apply for an extension of stay within the UK. After five years, applicants may apply for indefinite leave to remain (ILR) and, subsequently, British citizenship if all requirements are met.
With the UK Innovator Founder Visa, individuals and their families can enjoy the UK's stable business environment, global connectivity, and rich educational resources, while creating long-term opportunities for growth and success.
